What is a CDTS?
CDTS is the acronym for Crossroads Discipleship Training School. CDTS is offered by Youth With A Mission (YWAM, which MBI is a ministry of) to give adults aged 30 and up the opportunity to enhance their knowing God and making Him known. Twelve-weeks in a classroom-like setting, the program is typically run as a residential 'live and learn' program. In a way, it can be described as a long retreat you won't want to end! Each week a different speaker addresses topics that are core to Christian beliefs designed to grow your faith in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
The
teachings and dynamic times of worship are opportunities to 'sit at the feet of Jesus' among mature believers who share their experiences and knowledge of subjects from a biblical world view. MBI's dedicated staff will serve the CDTS students to help create a quality time with God, helping them hear for themselves what His plans are for their lives, their communities, the world, and the future.
Following the 12-weeks of lecture phase, students typically participate in an 8-week field assignment somewhere in the world to share the love of Jesus by serving others. This CDTS will have outreaches which focus on serving YWAM bases in different locations in North America and beyond. A typical outreach will serve in two to three locations for two to four weeks at a time. MBI is conducting the CDTS under the auspices of YWAM Montana which has generously offered its help in registering CDTS students for them to qualify for educational credits through the University of the Nations.
The MBI CDTS will be hosted near Lakeside, Montana, in the spectacular Flathead Valley near Glacier National Park.
